This dataset contains primary data on stream hydromorphology, biodiversity (including microbial and macroinvertebrate communities), ecosystem functioning, and associated environmental parameters collected within the RESTOLINK project. Data were generated through coordinated field sampling and experimental approaches across multiple restored and unrestored stream reaches in several European countries. The dataset supports analyses of how hydromorphological restoration and habitat heterogeneity influence biodiversity–ecosystem functioning relationships in running waters.
