Effect of dietary xenobiotics on gut microbiome composition - 161 dietary xenobiotics

Mapping of the effects of dietary xenobiotics on gut microbiome composition remodelling, how this relates to the metabolism of these dietary xenobiotics, and can explain interindividual differences in response to dietary compounds. This experiment was designed to assess how 161 dietary xenobiotics remodel 4 different gut microbiome communities in vitro. Bacterial communities derived from human fecal samples or a synthetic defined community were incubated anaerobically in BB:mGAM media with dietary xenobiotics. 16S sequencing was performed to map community composition.
