This project is initiated to analyze the genome structure of Risso's dolphin (Grampus griseus). The complete genome of this dolphin species still not available in the GenBank. The genome of this dolphin will be important for comparative analysis of marine mammals and to understand gene mutations, evolution and aquatic adaptations of marine mammals. Moreover, the genome of this species will be helpful for further functional genomics analysis.
