Data and R code for the analysis: Cyclonic eddies modulate protistan top-down control of prokaryotes in subtropical offshore waters

We investigated prokaryote–protist interactions in three cyclonic eddies of different ages (2, 4, and 6–7 months) in the eastern tropical North Atlantic during two research cruises in 2019. Water samples were collected from the deep chlorophyll maximum (DCM), sub-DCM, and oxygen minimum zone (OMZ) using CTD-rosette casts. Short-term grazing incubations with fluorescent microspheres as bacterial analogs were conducted to quantify protistan grazing rates.
