Data for: Quantifying and categorising the animal welfare impacts caused by biological invasions

The dataset includes two sheets (one for alien bird invasions, the other for alien ant invasions). Both sheets has the same structure.The sheets are divided into four sections (location of impact, alien organism, other affected organism, references).Location of impact: four columns providing details on the location of a reported animal welfare impact (continent, country, region, island or other location).Alien organism: 17 columns describing the organisms taxonomy (class, order, family, scientific name, common name), the welfare impacts it is affected by (the impact mechanism, impact severity, the indicator for the impact (physical, bahavioural and / or physiological), description of the indicator for the impact, the domains of animal welfare associated with the impact (nutrition, physical environment, health and / or behavioural interactions), and details regarding the confidence of the welfare assessment (confidence level of 'high', 'medium' or 'low', and justification for the confidence assessment).Other affected organism: as for alien organism (see above).References: The references used for the welfare assessment.
