Supplementary Data Tables on Jejunal iMSCs from Postnatal Piglets

Ayansola et al. characterize intestinal mesenchymal stromal cells in preweaned jejunal piglets using protein localization and transcriptome models. Using bulk RNA sequencing, we analyzed the differentially expressed genes in jejunal intestinal mesenchymal stromal cells at three different postnatal age groups: days 0, 7, and 21. Transcriptome analysis reveals enriched growth factor genes in day 21 jejunal iMSCs, suggesting their support for intestinal epithelium maturation. This study also reports the appearance of the CD81⁺iMSC population by day 21 in the jejunum of postnatal piglets, highlighting an increasing support niche for the deep crypt region.
