Intact polar lipids in sediments impacted by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill

This dataset contains the relative abundances of intact polar membrane lipids of bacteria (specifically, bacteriohopanepolyol lipids) in northern Gulf of Mexico sediments. Samples used in the analysis were collected in August, 2013. Values reported are the mean of duplicate or triplicate measurements. All compounds are normalized to an internal standard. The sample collection dates and the number of replicates used to calculate the mean for each sample are listed in the supplemental information of the metadata record.
