This is a set of research data related to the article titled "Comparative study of graphene and metal-based grating-gate terahertz plasmonic structures", Journal of Applied Physics, 137(21), 213103 (2025).The set contains numerical data used to create the next Figures:Fig.2: Transfer current-voltage characteristics of the samples with metallic and graphene-based gratings measured at 70 K and drain-to-source voltage VD = 50 mV.Fig.3: THz transmission, Tr, spectra normalized to the transmission taken at the threshold of channel depletion Tr(Vth). Results are obtained at different gate voltage biases of sample S1 (file Fig.3a.txt) and sample S2 (file Fig.3b.txt). Files Fig.3c.txt and Fig.3d.txt include the measured transmission at gate voltages VG = –1 V and −2.5 V at different linear polarizations of the incoming THz radiation of samples S2 and S1, respectively. All measurements are conducted at 70 K.Fig.4: File Fig.4a.txt includes simulated THz transmittance spectra of three structures: 2DEG under the metal-based grating, 2DEG under the graphene-based grating, and graphene-based grating without a 2DEG. File Fig.4b.txt includes THz transmittance spectra of the 2DEG under a graphene-based grating-gate structure simulated for different electron mobilities in graphene strips.
