Aphrodisias in Late Antiquity 2004: Narrative, fasti and indices

The inscriptions of Aphrodisias in Caria (southwest Turkey) have long been recognized as being of great interest and importance . Legible inscriptions have survived at the site in considerable quantities; this is partly because of the excellent quality of the marble on which they were inscribed, and largely because the site was never again extensively developed after about AD 600. The dataset comprises material presented in the inscriptions discussed in chronological or thematic chapters.
