A Fun Cube-based Brain Gym cognitive function assessment system for the early detection of dementia

The experiment included eight healthy mature adults from Chang Gung Health and Culture Village and five patients with mild dementia from Chang Gung Memory Hospital previously diagnosed by a doctor. The participants signed a consent form, and a psychologist screened the normal and MCI groups. The average ages of the normal and MCI groups were 74.13±10.04 and 73±7.54 years, respectively. The average years of education of the two groups were 13±4.24 and 11.8±3.92 years, respectively. The average scores of TMSE of the two groups were 28.13±1.27 and 25±1.55, respectively. The research assistant made sure each participant followed our game rules. The participants played all of the games in the same order, without time constraints. The game tests were performed for the normal and MCI groups to validate whether the game test results can be used to classify these two groups.
