Norway: average financial benefits of electric vehicles by vehicle size 2023

In 2023, large electric vehicles in Norway recorded on average around 27,100 U.S. dollars in financial subsidies at purchase, compared to 14,600 U.S. dollars for small electric vehicles. However, Norway started rolling back on the VAT exemptions which led to such high subsidies, with the new policy being put in place in January 2023.
