FUSAC - National Lands Activity Base

The **FUSAC (Foncier à Usages d'Activités) database offers an unprecedented national view of land used for activities** (industrial, commercial, tertiary, equipment, etc.). ### Background As part of public policies encouraging greater land sobriety while promoting the reindustrialization of territories, it has been noted the lack or great diversity of data at the national level by a large number of actors, for land hosting economic activities. The Ministry of Ecological Transition commissioned Cerema in 2023, in order to constitute a national resource compiling different sources to understand these spaces (excluding the agricultural sector) on the basis of exploratory work carried out in previous years. **FUSAC thus makes it possible to initiate or consolidate local inventories of business land** as part of various procedures: territorial diagnosis including the development of various planning documents (SRADDET, SCoT, PLUI) and various regulatory obligations such as the inventory of AEZs required by the Climate Resilience Act. Based on the **CNIG 2023** standards, the FUSAC database is part of this approach by providing outlines and data on approximately 1.3 million ha across France. ### Presentation of the base The FUSAC database is a **national open-data resource** that provides detailed information on business land. It combines **various national data sources** (EmpCom, Urban Planning Geoportal, Land Files, Sirene database, BdTopo, etc.). This version of FUSAC does not contain any information related to the vacancy or the agricultural sector of activity. It thus comprises three main tables: the contours of the sites, the land within those sites and the business establishments located on those land. These tables make it possible to characterise the purpose, the intensity of the activity and the specificities of the sites identified, in maximum compliance with the CNIG 2023 standard.
