Metropolitan Green Belt

This dataset consists of the boundaries of all designated areas of Green Belt within the London Borough of Sutton. The fundamental aim Green Belt is to prevent urban sprawl by keeping land permanently open and that there is a general presumption against inappropriate development in the Green Belt. The construction of new buildings inside a Green Belt is therefore inappropriate unless it is for agriculture and forestry, essential facilities for outdoor sport and recreation, for cemeteries or other uses of open land that preserve the openness of the Green Belt. Each polygon denotes the boundary of each area of Green Belt land: attribution includes the associated policies.本数据集涵盖伦敦萨顿区（London Borough of Sutton）内所有划定的绿化带（Green Belt）区域的边界范围。绿化带的核心宗旨为通过永久保留土地的开放属性以遏制城市无序扩张，且针对绿化带内的不当开发行为普遍存在反对预设。因此，在绿化带内新建建筑物属于不当开发行为，除非用于农林生产、户外体育运动与休闲的必要配套设施、墓地，或是其他能够保留绿化带开放属性的空地用途。每个多边形均代表一处绿化带地块的边界，其附带的属性信息包含相关配套政策。
