Temperature profile and water depth data collected from USS BARBEY using BT and XBT casts in the NE/NW Pacific Ocean from 13 September 1988 to 30 September 1988 (NODC Accession 8800284)

The data in this accession was collected in NE Pacific (limit-180) from ship Barbey between September 9 and September 30, 1988. The real time data of water temperature at varying depth bathythermograph (XBT) was recorded in stripcharts by the US Navy. Twenty three stripcharts and radio logs were submitted to NODC. The XBT data from these stripcharts have been digitized and is present in the current NODC data storage system in C116 file format.

本存档数据集的采集工作于1988年9月9日至9月30日期间，由Barbey号科考船在东北太平洋（经度极限180°）海域完成。美国海军通过抛投式探深温度计（Expendable Bathythermograph，XBT）获取的不同深度海水温度实时数据，被记录于纸带记录图中。共计23份纸带记录图与无线电通信日志被提交至国家海洋数据中心（National Oceanographic Data Center，NODC）。上述纸带记录图中的XBT数据已完成数字化处理，当前以C116文件格式存储于该中心的数据存储系统内。
