Replication Data for: Don’t Hate the Mayor, Hate the Game – an Analysis of Hate Speech on Social Media Against Mayors in Baden-Wuerttemberg

This dataset and the Stata Do-file can be used to replicate the results from the article "Don’t Hate the Mayor, Hate the Game – an Analysis of Hate Speech on Social Media Against Mayors in Baden-Wuerttemberg" published in Policy and Internet 2023. The dataset is based on a survey among 373 mayors from the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg about their experiences with social media platforms as tools for political communication and the amount of hate speech they experience on these platforms.
