Population genomics of redfish (Sebastes sp) in the Northwest Atlantic

In the Gulf of St. Lawrence and Laurentian Channel (GSL-LC) massive Redfish recruitments occurred in early 2010s, nearly 30 years after the last strong cohort. This recruitment was primarily attributed to S. mentella, but also to the morphologically nearly indistinguishable S. fasciatus, without information on which populations were concerned. This project aims at characterize the fine-scale genetic structure of S. mentella and S. fasciatus in the GSL-LC.
