NOAA Hurricane Analysis and Forecast System (HAFS)

The last several hurricane seasons have been active with records being set for the number of tropical storms and hurricanes in the Atlantic basin. These record-breaking seasons underscore the importance of accurate hurricane forecasting. Imperative to increased forecasting skill for hurricanes is the development of the Hurricane Forecast Analysis System or HAFS. NOAA Hurricane Analysis and Forecast System (HAFS) 是一个专注于飓风分析和预报的下一代多尺度数值模型数据集，旨在提高飓风路径、强度、风暴大小等关键指标的预测准确性。该数据集集成了统一预报系统(UFS)，包含高分辨率移动嵌套、数据同化和海洋耦合等先进组件，目前提供2022年飓风季中飓风Fiona和Nicole的事件驱动预报数据，支持公开使用但要求署名。
