Sequences used in the phylogenetic analysis of flies in the family Tabanidae collected from coastal regions of Louisiana from 2016-07-13 to 2018-08-08

Flies in the family Tabanidae were collected from coastal Louisiana using canopy traps baited with dry ice from 2016-07-13 to 2018-08-08. Tabanids were identified using the keys of Tidwell (1973). DNA was extracted from individuals of select species and portions of DNA from the 18s and CO1 regions were amplified using three primer sets and sequenced. The sequences were then submitted to NCBI GenBank. Phylogenetic trees were built using these sequences.
