The data is classified by category, as well as Xining City, Haidong District, Haibei Prefecture, Huangnan Prefecture, Hainan Prefecture, Guoluo Prefecture, Yushu Prefecture and Haixi Prefecture. The data was collated from the Qinghai Statistical Yearbook published by the Qinghai Provincial Bureau of Statistics. The dataset contains 47 data tables with varying structures. For instance, the 2006 data table has a total of 9 fields:
