海面风场包括风速和风向。风速,是指风的运动速率,常用单位是m/s,风速是气候学研究的主要参数之一,大气中风的测量对于全球气候变化研究、航天事业以及军事应用等方面都具有重要作用和意义。风向是指风吹来的方向,常用单位是°。风速根据风向可以分解为u、v分量,u表示经向风速,v表示纬向风速。
对海面风场多源遥感数据进行了预处理和质量控制,基于最优插值方法,利用ERS-1/2、Quikscat、ASCAT-A/B、HY-2A、Rapidscat、Oceansat-2等散射计数据和SSM/I、TMI、GMI、AMSRE、AMSR2、WindSat等辐射计数据以及NCEP再分析数据,生成了1987-2020年的全球海洋海面风场产品,时间分辨率为6h,空间分辨率为0.25°。
Sea surface wind field encompasses wind speed and wind direction. Wind speed, defined as the movement rate of wind, has a commonly used unit of m/s. It is one of the core parameters in climatological research, and atmospheric wind measurements play a critical role in global climate change studies, aerospace industry, military applications and other relevant fields. Wind direction refers to the direction from which the wind blows, with a commonly used unit of °. Wind speed can be decomposed into u and v components based on wind direction, where u represents the meridional wind speed and v represents the zonal wind speed.
Multi-source remote sensing data of sea surface wind fields were preprocessed and subjected to quality control. Based on the optimal interpolation method, using scatterometer data such as ERS-1/2, Quikscat, ASCAT-A/B, HY-2A, Rapidscat, Oceansat-2, radiometer data such as SSM/I, TMI, GMI, AMSRE, AMSR2, WindSat, and NCEP reanalysis data, a global ocean sea surface wind field product from 1987 to 2020 was generated, with a temporal resolution of 6 hours and a spatial resolution of 0.25°.
