VPRS 18859 Minutes (Weekly), Committee of Management

This series comprises volumes recording minutes of the weekly meetings of the Committee of Management of Bendigo [Benevolent Asylum 1857 - 1886; Benevolent Asylum and Lying-in Hospital 1886 - 1937; Benevolent Home, 1937 - 1963; Home and Hospital for the Aged 1963-1988; Anne Caudle Centre 1988-1995] (VA 1275). The weekly meetings were held for the purposes of deciding upon the admission and discharge of inmates and applications for outdoor and other relief. The weekly meetings also received reports from the visiting committee, medical officer, superintendent and matron. Records in this series prior to 1877 have not yet been transferred to PROV.
