Vier Jahreszeiten

Four baroque fountain figures from the former reading yard of Geras Abbey, representing the seasons spring, summer, autumn and winter from left to right. Today the figures stand in front of a house in Pulkau. The seasons are usually interpreted in a similar way in the visual arts. Spring is a young woman with a wreath of flowers or flowering branches. Summer is endowed with the attributes of ripe fruit or ears of grain. The personification of autumn is decorated with grapes and leaves.
