资源简介:
This dataset compiles 112 georeferenced occurrence records of Fragaria × ananassa (cultivated strawberry), obtained through an extensive literature review aimed at identifying open-field cultivation sites worldwide. These data were generated to support the research presented in the article “Thermal Vulnerability and Potential Cultivation Areas of Four Day-Neutral Strawberries in Chile: Implications for Climate Adaptation”, which analyzes the thermal sensitivity of strawberry leaves and flowers, as well as potential shifts in suitable cultivation areas under climate change scenarios in Chile. The dataset includes the following fields: source title, authors, year of publication, country, DOI or URL, locality name, latitude and longitude (in decimal degrees), and a description of the cultivation environment (e.g., open field, greenhouse). Each record corresponds to a separate row, providing structured and detailed information for each occurrence. The occurrence dataset was used to identify and map suitable climatic conditions for cultivated strawberries, supporting species distribution modeling (SDM) under current and projected climate scenarios. This curated dataset complements the occurrence records available through the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF), contributing to a more comprehensive global representation of current strawberry cultivation sites. It aims to facilitate SDM analyses, projections of climate-driven shifts in cultivation potential, and the development of strategies to enhance crop resilience in the face of climate change.
