This contains the analysis for Chapter Three, Favorite Music Expresses Socially Engaging Emotions: The Role of Self-Construal Across Cultures, of the doctoral thesis - mUSic or musIc?: Examining the Role of Self-Construal in Affective Experiences with Music Across Cultures. This research presents two empirical studies examining how self-construal shapes the emotions elicited by favourite music. Supplementary materials are also included. This study received ethical approval via the University of Sheffield's ethics review procedure (application reference #049931 & #053922).
