National Forests

According to section 12 of the Forestry Act, forest is considered as a conservation forest when it serves as a protection for other forests or provides protection against natural damage. The same applies to areas up to the mountain or out towards the sea where the forest is vulnerable and can be destroyed by improper forest treatment.依据《林业法》（Forestry Act）第12条规定，当森林承担保护其他森林或抵御自然损害的功能时，该森林即被认定为保护林（conservation forest）。对于森林生态系统脆弱、易因不当森林经营作业遭到破坏的直至山地或向海延伸的区域，同样适用上述规定。
