Multiphase modeling approach coupled with comprehensive kinetic equations and population balance model for gas-solid fluidized bed reactors

The video clips show the hydrodynamic behaviors in the fluidized bed column using the perforated plate distributor and the slotted distributors with inclination angles of 30, 45 and 60 degrees. The vertical velocity component results in the vertical motions of particles. The swirling motions of particles are caused by the horizontal velocity component. For the slotted distributors, the swirling motions of particles are observed above the distributors. As the inclination angle increases, the bed expansion increases due to a higher value of vertical velocity component.
