资源简介:
Dyslexia is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects reading and language processing, with causes rooted in both genetic and environmental factors. Recent research highlights the role of the gut-brain axis in cognitive development, suggesting that gut and oral microbial communities may influence neurological function, inflammation, and learning outcomes. However, the potential link between microbiome composition and dyslexia remains underexplored. This project investigated the gut and oral microbiomes of individuals with dyslexia, comparing them to neurotypical controls to identify microbial patterns associated with language-based learning disorders. Using 16S rRNA sequencing, we characterized the microbial diversity, abundance, and potential functional pathways.
