Multilocus phylogeography, population genetics and niche evolution of Australian Brown and Black-tailed Treecreepers (Aves: Climacteris). Climacteris

This study is a multi-locus coalescent approach to analyze variation at anonymous noncoding loci on a continent-wide scale across populations of treecreepers in the genus Climacteris. We present a continent-wide analysis of mitochondrial (control region) and autosomal (14 anonymous loci) nucleotide variation, statistical phylogeography and niche modeling of Brown and Black-tailed Treecreepers (C. picumnus and melanurus) distributed across northern Australia.
