Novosphingobium sp. P6W is an abscisic acid (ABA)-degrading bacterium isolated from the rhizosphere of rice. ABA plays an important role in growth, development and adaptation of plants to various stresses. However, the metabolic pathway for the ABA degradation in bacteria is not known. This project presents transcriptome data of Novosphingobium sp. P6W grown on the medium supplemented with ABA as the sole carbon source.
