The aim of this study is to delineate the molecular mechanisms by which hypo- and hyper-prolactinemia affects male fertility and spermatogenesis. In vivo male rat model for hypo- and hyper-prolactinemia was established using dopamine receptor agonist, Bromocriptine (Brm), and antagonist, Fluphenazine (Flu), respectively. To study the changes in the testicular transcriptome, RNA-Seq was performed in the testisular tissue after Brm and Flu treatment, along with the control testes to identify differentially expressed genes.
