The goal of this study is to evaluate the impact of barn sanitation on the gut microbiome of commercial broiler chickens. Full-sanitation with chemical disinfectants and water-wash were applied on 7 commercial chicken barns with 4 production cycles. Cecal contents of the birds from the two treatments were collected at 30 days of age for 16S rRNA gene sequencing.
