The relevant files of the annual vegetation gross primary productivity dataset GPP_avhrr (0.05°, 1982) under the Global Land Surface Characteristic Parameters Product include HDF and XML files. Data entities are stored in the HDF file, while product metadata is stored in both HDF and XML files. The GLASS Product features long-term time series, high spatial resolution and high accuracy, providing reliable foundational support for global environmental change research. It can be widely applied to dynamic monitoring of atmosphere, vegetation cover, water bodies and other aspects at global, continental and regional scales. When combined with climate change characterization parameters such as air temperature and precipitation, it is utilized for global change analysis.
