A series of characterization tests have been conducted on the Magneto-Rheological damper towards generating Bouc-Wen model.
The damper tested is a Lord made MR damper RD-8041-1. The damper is capable of producing forces up to 2500 N when powered with an input current of 1 ampere.
Speegoat has been used for data collection. Data has been sampled at 5000 Hz. A Shore Western 4 kip actuator driven by Shore Western servo-hydraulic system is used to push the damper.
A series of 10 mm amplitude sine wave of 2.9 Hz with passive on and off levels.

It would be nice to add the model and force capacity
of the MR damper in the description of the experiment
for people to find quickly.
