A series of characterization tests have been conducted on the Magneto-Rheological damper towards generating Bouc-Wen model. The damper tested is a Lord made MR damper RD-8041-1. The damper is capable of producing forces up to 2500 N when powered with an input current of 1 ampere. Speegoat has been used for data collection. Data has been sampled at 5000 Hz. A Shore Western 4 kip actuator driven by Shore Western servo-hydraulic system is used to push the damper. A series of 10 mm amplitude sine wave of 2.9 Hz with passive on and off levels. Rep-1: 0.00 V Rep-2: 2.10 V It would be nice to add the model and force capacity of the MR damper in the description of the experiment for people to find quickly.
