We characterized the spatiotemporal dynamics of microbial communities in tobacco-associated ecosystems across Shandong, Guizhou, and Yunnan via 16S rRNA gene sequencing. Specifically, we analyzed original soil samples (pre-transplantation) and samples of bulk soil, roots, stems, and leaves collected at three key post-transplantation time points (40, 60, and 80 days) across the three study sites. This allowed for a systematic assessment of the dynamic shifts and relative contributions of microbial communities inhabiting distinct plant niches (roots, stems, leaves), along with the potential regulatory roles of host plants and environmental factors in shaping these microbial assemblages.
