An edge banding machine includes a base， an adhesive applicator mechanism， a motor， a chain guide， and a chain. The glue application mechanism is removably attached to the base and includes a glue tank and an glue shaft extending into the glue tank and having a lower end provided with a first pinion. The glue shaft conveys glue from the glue tank. The engine is attached to the base and has a PTO shaft that has a second pinion. The chain meshes with the first sprocket and the second sprocket. The chain guide is attached to the base and has a guide wheel extending into the chain for pressing against the chain so that the chain can move between a tensioned position and a relaxed position.
