Ecological data and perception values of soil and water bioengineering techniques applied to urban rivers

This dataset brings together environnemental, ecological and sociological data used in the article "Knowledge influences perceptions and values of nature-based solutions: The example of soil and water bioengineering techniques applied to urban rivers in Auvergne Rhône-Alps region, in 2024. On one part, it describes 12 sites equipped with riverbank protection structures (green, gray or hybrid ) arranged along a vegetation gradient. The aims of the ecological tables is to understand the ecological value of green bank protection. The 12 sites were caracterized by environnement survey (table 1.2020_ouvrages.txt), bank soil characteristics survey (table 2.2020_transects.txt), and vegetation surveys (table 3.2020_releves.txt). A fourth table complete the table 3.2020_releves.txt : table4 .corr_espece.csv. This is a table of correspondance between the species acronym and the real name of the species from the Taxref data repository (Gargominy, O., 2014), and Baseflor database (Julve P, 1998) . It also gives the invasive status of each species surveyed, at national (Gargominy, O., 2014, V15) and regional levels (Debay,P., 2020) . On the second part, 2 other tables describes perception values using an online photo-questionnaire created with LimeSurvey software distributed between February and March 2021. This photo-questionnaire form is associated with the dataset.
