This dataset presents the spatial distribution of land use types in Wansheng District, Chongqing, China, in 2016. It is vector data containing attribute fields such as land code, land type, and other relevant information. The land use types are classified into secondary categories as follows: paddy fields, dry lands, closed forest lands, shrub lands, sparse forest lands, other forest lands, high-coverage grasslands, medium-coverage grasslands, low-coverage grasslands, rivers and canals, lakes, reservoirs and ponds, permanent glacier and snow lands, tidal flats, beach lands, urban lands, rural residential areas, other construction lands, sand lands, gobi, saline-alkali lands, swamp lands, bare lands, bare rock and gravel lands, and others. Specifically, cultivated land is further categorized based on landforms into paddy fields and dry lands in mountainous areas, hilly areas, plains, and slopes with a gradient greater than 25 degrees. The scale of this dataset is 1:100,000.
