Classification of orthosteric agonists and their respective GPCR.

The neutrophil interaction characteristic of propionate and the receptor specific ligands recognized by P2Y2R (i.e., ATP), PAFR (i.e., PAF) and FPRs (i.e., the peptides fMLF and WKYMVM) used in the study have earlier been described in more details (see the references [16, 17, 44, 45]) and it is important to point out that with the concentrations used, the agonists alone (without the allosteric FFAR2 modulators) were unable to activate the NADPH-oxidase.
