Extreme event exposure data for crop failure, heatwave and wildfire

We present extreme event exposure data for crop failure, heatwave and wildfire measured in terms of affected area. The dataset contains simulations of historical climate conditions (1901-2015) but also SSP1-2.6, SSP3-7.0 and SSP5-8.5 scenarios (2015-2100) with a 0.5°x0.5° resolution. As a baseline it also contains simulations of pre-industrial climate conditions, labelled picontrol, that range from 1850 to 2100. <br>The data was derived from multi-model climate impacts simulations generated ISIMIP3a (Frieler et al. 2024) and ISIMIP3b (Frieler et al. 2025) simulation rounds of the Intersectoral Impact Model Intercomparison Project (ISIMIP, https://www.isimip.org).<br>It is used in Zantout et al. 2025 to investigate changing regularity pattern in extreme events under global warming.
