"Intermodulation Signal Processing Algorithm in MIMO Radars"

"The paper addresses the issues of optimal design of signal-code structures in MIMO radars, taking into account suppression of parasitic components in the target velocity spectrum arising in MIMO radars with linear frequency modulation and slow phase-code modulation. Existing approaches to eliminating ambiguity in the estimated velocity are reviewed, and an intermodulation signal processing algorithm is proposed that resolves the ambiguity in the estimated velocity through joint processing of two signal-code structures with different channel separation methods: phase-coded and combined. It is shown that the use of this algorithm makes it possible to preserve the limiting performance of the MIMO radar in terms of range resolution and radial velocity resolution, while at the same time providing the full range of unambiguous radial velocity estimation."
