资源简介:
GhAPR2 is specifically expressed in the leaf epidermis, and silencing of GhAPR2 gene can promote fiber initiation and elongation. There are conservative regulatory mechanisms for cotton and root hair development. The sulfite and GSH contents in Arabidopsis thaliana overexpressing GhAPR2 are increased, and the sulfur metabolism pathway is enhanced. The increase in sulfite content resulted in abnormal accumulation of ROS in root hair, which in turn down-regulated the transcription of cell wall protein-encoding genes such as AtEXTs and AtPRPs, which were rich in proline in root hair, to reduce the content of hydroxyproline in cell wall, damage the development of cell wall of root hair, and inhibit the elongation of root hair.
