WP4 - Coastal change at Enkomi-Alasia and Salamis-Constantia, eastern Cyprus, 1963 to 2019

Shoreline-change dataset for a roughly 14 km section of the eastern Cypriot coast around the mouth of the Pedieos river, covering the ancient harbour cities of Enkomi-Alasia and Salamis-Constantia. The area has been inaccessible to field survey since 1974, so the reconstruction rests entirely on archival and satellite imagery. Shorelines were digitised for four epochs (1963, 1967, 1974 and 2004) and change was quantified with the USGS Digital Shoreline Analysis System across 212 transects at 25 m spacing, yielding 1,272 shoreline-transect intersections. The record contains the study-area boundaries, the digitised shorelines, the DSAS baselines, the transect definitions and the full change-rate statistics (LRR, EPR, NSM, SCE). The record also includes the georeferenced source imagery for three of the four epochs: 1967 CORONA KH-4A, 1974 KH-9 Hexagon and 2004 OrbView-3, all United States public-domain products held by the USGS EROS archive. The 1963 Cyprus orthophotos are credited but not redistributed.
