**Overview**
### Overview
Rearc’s EpiLake: Influenza Global Surveillance data solution is your one-stop shop for understanding the spread of seasonal Influenza. With this product, epidemiology teams and health authorities can instantly spin up a flu monitoring capability that spans the globe, as well as predict future spread.
This solution uses Rearc’s Infectious Disease Data Lake, ingesting and harmonizing data from several national health agencies, as well as the UN World Health Organization, all in order to provide a seamless global view of where influenza is active, as well as where it is rapidly spreading. The data includes useful breakdowns, GIS features, and population health/SDoH enrichments. The data is well-documented and presented in a standardized tabular format, making it easy to integrate into your data models and extend.
EpiLake goes above and beyond the data to shorten time-to-insight and help teams get started faster. This solution comes with a suite of dashboards that instantly inform viewers on the current state of the flu season, including a world flu map, areas with high cases, areas with growing case numbers, “hot spots” with unusually high severity or spread, breakdown by demographic and flu variant, year-over-year comparisons, and outliers/anomalies. Additionally, the solution includes a notebook with sample code for querying the data, building visualizations, and implementing anomaly detection.
With EpiLake: Influenza Global Surveillance, epidemiology teams and health authorities can skip costly and time-consuming data engineering processes and immediately start deriving useful insights from global flu data, allowing them to focus on their core goals.
