The carapace width at age and instar data of snow crab (<i>Chionoecetes opilio</i>) used for the article: A novel growth function incorporating the effects of reproductive investment.<br>The data is obtained from Yamamoto <i>et al. </i>(2015 <i>J. Crustacean Biol.</i>) for the 1st to 6th instars and Ueda <i>et al.</i>(2015 <i>Assessment of fisheries stocks in the waters around Japan in 2015 FY, Part 1</i>) for the 7th to 13th instars. <br>M and F represent male and female, respectively.The number represents the number of terminal molting, after which body growth ceases. <br>
