NRS-14816 | Social Aid statistical returns from District Offices [Social Aid Branch, Department of Community Services]

Two statistical returns are involved: 1. Fortnightly lists of persons receiving aid from district offices (variation lists) - Lists of people receiving cash sustenance for each fortnightly period, together with a list of people who received aid during the last fortnightly period, but are not receiving aid during the period under review. Return shows name of recipient, scale of aid, value of aid (supplementation and sustenance), value of additional milk, amount of relief per person, total amount carried forward, together with any reason for individual variations; and 2. Analysis sheets for temporary food orders - Prepared at (normally) weekly intervals, analysis sheets supplement variation lists by furnishing statistical returns of food relief (as distinct from cash sustenance). Returns show, for each district office, period covered, name of recipient, value of aid given (with a breakdown into meals, meat, groceries, bread, milk), scale of aid, additional milk (pints and value of), remarks (normally aid is given pending receipt of other benefit or appropriate pension).
