Watermelon 'Arka Manik' In vitro seedling endophytic bacterial diversity analysis. seed metagenome

This study was aimed at assessing the endophytic bacterial diversity associated with the in vitro grown seedlings derived from surface-disinfected seed embryos to study the bacterial transmission from embryos to seedlings adopting 16S rRNA taxonomic profiling. The DNA extracted from the tissue-homogenate from the four samples was taken through 16S rRNA V3-V4 region amplicon profiling. The findings indicated the transmission of diverse bacteria in a cultivation recalcitrant form to seedlings with differntial distribution profiles in different parts of seedlings.
