This data shows the extent of the green belt (an area that surrounds a city and aims to remain open and therefore limits the sprawl of urban areas). The data is deemed to be represent the green belt extent for 2011. This data was sourced from the Daily Telegraph. You can view their online-interactive map. GIS vector data. This dataset was first accessioned in the EDINA ShareGeo Open repository on 2012-11-29 and migrated to Edinburgh DataShare on 2017-02-21.
