The HNTS-MRG 2024 dataset was developed by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, dedicated to applications of magnetic resonance-guided radiotherapy for head and neck cancers. This dataset includes T2-weighted MRI images from 202 patients collected at two time points: pre-radiotherapy (pre-RT) and mid-radiotherapy (mid-RT). The curation process of the dataset covers image acquisition, expert annotations, and the generation of consensus segmentations using the STAPLE algorithm. This dataset is designed to address the challenges of manual tumor segmentation in head and neck cancer radiotherapy, and advance the application of artificial intelligence in the field of automatic tumor segmentation.
