This series consists of the Business paper books of the Hunter District Water Supply and Sewerage Board for the period from the Board's creation in 1892 until 1926. The series, which includes 73 volumes, constitutes a record of the proceedings at each meeting of the Board, comparable to a combination of Minutes and Agenda. Typically, business items for each meeting are entered by hand on the verso pages, with annotations on the facing recto pages recording their reception by the Board and any action resolved upon. Occasional paste-ins appear, mostly typed summaries of revenue, which appear in this format consistently from Volume 31 (1911). From August, 1912 these summaries are signed or initialled by the Board's Principal Book-keeper as having been “examined and certified” by him. The series ends in 1926, with part of Volume 73 left blank.The volumes of this series are quarter-leather bound large octavo, except for Volumes 1-8, which are quarto. Many are labelled, and most are numbered on the spine. All are sound.
