在中亚干旱区自北向南依次从塔城盆地、伊犁盆地、费尔干那盆地、阿富汗-塔吉克盆地的黄土剖面中选取16个MIS2、MIS3时期沉积的黄土样品测试其Sr–Nd同位素。上述Sr–Nd同位素测试结果较好地反映了中亚粉尘源区Sr–Nd同位素变化。将本研究新测得的中亚黄土Sr–Nd同位素数据与先前已发表的全球其他潜在粉尘源区风成沉积物的同位素地球化学数据结合,使用贝叶斯混合模型评估末次冰期格陵兰冰芯粉尘的物源贡献,进一步利用Lindeman-Merenda-Gold方法量化潜在影响因素对格陵兰粉尘浓度在轨道尺度变化的贡献。

Sixteen loess samples deposited during Marine Isotope Stages 2 (MIS2) and 3 (MIS3) were collected from loess sections of the Tacheng Basin, Yili Basin, Fergana Basin, and Afghanistan-Tajikistan Basin along a north-to-south transect in the Arid Central Asia, and their Sr–Nd isotopic compositions were analyzed. The obtained Sr–Nd isotopic results well reflect the isotopic variations of dust source regions in Central Asia. By combining the newly measured Sr–Nd isotopic data of Central Asian loess in this study with previously published isotopic geochemical data of aeolian sediments from other potential global dust source regions, a Bayesian mixing model was used to assess the dust source contributions recorded in Greenland ice cores during the Last Glacial Period. Furthermore, the Lindeman-Merenda-Gold (LMG) method was applied to quantify the contributions of potential influencing factors to the orbital-scale variations of Greenland dust concentration.
